Top Number Seven

This is top number seven...I finished putting it together this morning.  I am still waiting for my batting...and I have to say, I have learned a valuable lesson...read the fine print!  I ordered the batting in December...for a January mailout.  If I had ordered earlier that day it would have been a December mailout...and I would have had the batting by now.   However, I hesitated and ended up in the January roll....on top of that, even though it said free shipping, it actually was not. It was free shipping up to $60.00 worth..which meant that coming to New Brunswick from British Columbia meant shipping was more than that. I ended up paying the difference which meant that my so called big saving was nowhere near what they advertised.  My fault...did not read the fine print. Needless to say, I will be searching for a distributor a little closer to home.

Enough bitching! I actually enjoyed putting this one together. It was easy-peasy and went together like a dream. Still haven't cleaned up enough of my stash but once I get FMQ'ing on the rest of the tops  I shall have used up even more on the backings.  Life is good!

I like this quilt a lot. It looks like an easy pattern. Did you design it yourself or quilt by pattern. Yes, I have learned long ago that advertising manipulates you to think you are getting a deal. But I am the sucker that spends more to get the free shipping.
