More Dear Jane Squares

Well, I am really hooked. I just can't seem to get enough of these squares. I think it is the fact that I only have to do one of each pattern(excluding a few that are done using different techniques for the same design)

I'm forging ahead with the applique squares...not only because I like to applique but because my sewing room is a disaster area. We are in a new house with no finished basement and we are in the process of finishing rooms. The outside walls have been gyprocked, drywalled and painted but the furnace room, which unfortunately must be in the centre of the basement is now walled in , currently wet with dry wall and waiting to be sanded and painted. That may take a little longer than a week since we have been cursed with high humidity.

In the meantime, I run downstairs, prepare a couple of applique squares and come back up to the den to sit in front of the tv and sew to my heart's content. The eight in the left corner of the pic were done mostly last night and finished up this afternoon. I have a couple more ready so I'll watch Two and a Half Men and sew away.

Tigger has been fairly quiet for her today...I think she is minding the humidity...at least , I hope that's what it is...her appetite is good, bodily functions are good, eyes are bright...just a sleepy girl. She had a bad night last night, thunder and lightening...cuddled most of the night. Dare I say, I loved it, since she is usually not a cuddlebum.

  1. Your squares are coming along lovely.... poor Tigger, it's funny how it bothers some "puppies" and not others... my neighbour's big dog shakes like a leaf while my two girls don't even bat an eyelash! Hugs.

  4. Cuddlebum is such a cute word! Poor Tigger. Loving those blocks!! My favourite today is in the 2nd row from the bottom, third one in, the 4 pointed star.

  5. Wonderful squares - you have much more patience than I do. But I mostly want to say - 2 1/2 Men is one of my favorites too - just can't resist Jake when he gets up to his antics. My favorite is the one when his grandmother insisted he visit and she tries to cook him dinner - I giggle every time I think of it, and positively roll on the floor whenever I catch a rerun! Perfect happy show to have on while quilting (or cross-stitching, which is what I do in front of the TV).
