Finally..out of the frame

Today I finished quilting "Sylvia's Stars" and took it out of my Hinterberg frame......at last. Seems like I have been quilting on it for an awfully long time.

Tigger is examining it very carefully ...I think she approves but when I caught her biting off some of the batt I had to reevaluate my thoughts...everything looks like food to Tigger...so far, the only thing I have seen her voluntarily spit out is green onion and onion skin...not very discriminating...my doggie.

I took a close up of the feather pattern I compiled out of a template and some cross hatching...turned out pretty well, even if I do say so myself...self praise is better than none, I guess.

Thought you might like to see our little "genius" in action. She crawled under the bed and then couldn't get out.  I am captioning this picture  " A little help here!!!"  We had to turn her sideways and drag her out....makes for lots of laughter in this house.

If you are wondering what the steps are, those are for Tigger..the bed is high and she cannot jump it so  DH made her stairs...must be love.

  2. That is so beautiful. I must look back in your blog to see if it as a pattern. That will be a great one for my church ladies to do. Would it be ok, if I show your quilt to them as an option for their raffle quilt this year. Is the pattern out of a book?

  3. Fantabulously beautiful quilt! I have to laugh at your stories of Tigger... reminds me of our girls who have been stuck in uncompromising places too, LOL... they seem to have a lot in common... I am sure if they all got together, they would be a "heap of trouble"! Hugs.
