DD # 2 is awaiting the arrival of her puppy...she wanted a blankie for her pup and her only request was .'jewel tones' as the little man is a Samoyed...and they are all white. She wanted him to show up well on a coloured blanket. So here we go......some orphan blocks and some nine patches plus a special centre from a pattern that she got me a few years ago when she went on a quilt shop row by row hunt for me in Massachusetts.
It has come home to roost for her ...used my embroidery machine and included the puppy paws (didn't do the kitten ones since we are all now dog people)....then it came to quilting time. I wasn't sure how to go about it....no real pattern came to mind . Sooooo, I did some writing...her name, her soon to be dog's name ...a few "woof, woof" s and some dog bones in between the feathers, the hearts and swirlies.
I guess you don't need to ask if I had fun. Hope she likes it
