Getting closer to Christmas

I used to do this a long time ago and kind of forgot about it.  since we moved so much , each house had a different look when it came to Christmas decorating. I love this house but it has no real character(meaning it's not an old fashioned house with lots of nooks and crannies) and it's kind of hard to really "Christmas" it up.  Saw this  done on Pinterest and decided to cover up these prints...one is of a fishing boat(I guess you could say it represents my roots[Newfie, here] and the other is of the house DH was born in.

Tigger finally held still long enough for me to take a quick picture. I had to be fast...this little one , although now five years old , shows no sign of ever getting slower in her 'maturity'.  Still has the prettiest doe  eyes .
And , of course, Miss Princess Pudge, Faith is all tuckered out after her romp in the snow.  It's hard work trying to catch that Tigger.

I like this idea...another one I saw on Pinterest....so easy and a nice homey touch.  I couldn't find floater candles in this small town so I took a couple of tea lights and removed the foil....they will float ...not sure how long once they burn down but they are in water so it should be ok.  I prefer to make my own decorations out of odds and ends.  Both DH and I are born and raised country people...and plan to stay that way.  Merry Christmas to you and yours....

  1. Nice idea to do the frames. The pooches are so sweet. I was at the fibre art display at the old government house in Freddy last week. One artist had a picture that looked like Faith. Her art was a scarf made out of the hair she brushed out of her pooch. The scarf was amazing!!!
