I love working with hexagons...always a little bit of a challenge for me...this pattern is different...two different sized hexagons and the batting in each one...kind of like the quilt as you go reversible quilt I did ages ago. Only this one is in a Christmas theme. The Poinsettia fabric I bought a long time ago , not sure what I was going to use it for but Christmas fabric always finds a place, right??
This is the magazine that has the pattern in it. I'm a sucker for scrappy quilts so naturally when I saw this mag...I just had to add it to my stash of magazines(you know, the one that just keeps on growing...magazine editors love me). Actually, there are a couple of patterns in here that I like and that is a my criteria for purchase...at least two things that interest me.
This is what it will look like when it is all together....a nice little table topper. Our guild is doing a project with hexagons this coming programme day so I thought I would bring this one along to show them one more way to use the hexies... waddya' think???

I *love* the look of these hexies with the border! VERY cool! Is this part of the guild's project? I'm really curious as to how you did these! :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute. I bought that magazine to as I love, love, love my scrappy quilts. I saw that pattern in there but seem to always like them better when I see someone else make them :-) very cute.
