I'm a gadget geek.

Last year at Christmas, DH bought me a laptop...I love it and am on it everyday.  That was the start of it.  This year at Christmas, it was this Sony E Reader and now I am on that every day...so far, it has just been the classics...you know those ones you promised yourself you'd read some day. For some reason , they are easier to read on the reader...don't ask me why 'cuz I could not tell you.
Then...just last week I got it into my head(did I tell you that I am headstrong...well, I'm letting you in on the secret now) that I'd like to listen to books, so here's the MP3 player I bought. Not a Sony...just a cheapie, because I wasn't sure I would enjoy listening to books.  Boy was I wrong. What a great thing to do while you quilt. AND I found that Jane Austen is so much easier to listen to than read.  All those long sentences, you know...
In the meantime, here is the mini  I started all ready for quilting. It's just 15" by 18"...should make a nice little wallhanging. Completely hand done so I think I will hand quilt it as well.  Seems to me I have a hoop somewhere in my pile of "stuff" that would work .  Give me something to do while I listen to books. I have assured my husband that I am NOT stealing from the blind....
Now here's  a face worth kissing.. That is Faith, our Princess Pudge , or Princess Priss as we sometimes call her. She won't play ball...too strenuous for her and it gets dirty. Also she was a little pudgey when she came to us. She couldn't keep up with Tigger who is slim and trim.  Now it's the opposite, Tigger cannot catch Faith. So ....I guess it's not fair to call her Pudge anymore.
Here's Tigger just having a hissy fit.  Outside there a dangerous leaves blowing about and she does not like it.  Let's us know in no uncertain terms that those leaves have to go and she's the girl to do it.  My heroine...sigh!!!

  1. Your mini quilt is awesome! I like listening to book on CD that I pick up from the library while I quilt. Love the picture of Faith - so precious. Glad to know that I'm not the only one with a dog that's a little 'strange' and protective of everyday occurances - lol!

  3. I think I would like to listen to books myself instead of reading...take some of the strain off the eyes...does it help to save your eyes for quilting...being on the computer strains my eyes too...sounds like the idea thing for me. Trish
