These little beauties are only a portion of the gorgeous HAND dyed fabrics that my generous daughter gave me for Christmas. And are the ones that I used in the class that I took this afternoon(Thanks to Gail M of Fredericton who taught the class and helped me choose).
We started in the morning...and I have to tell you I was not sure it was going to work....the pattern looked so complicated, but Gail M. explained it all so well and made us all feel confident that we could do THIS........
Spicy Spiral Table Runner. Isn't it just gorgeous and you should see all the others. It is so hard to believe how many different fabrics can look so beautiful. I'll try to get a picture of some more to brag about. All I have left to do with mine is some quilting to finish it off. I used to have a spool of variegated quilting thread that would be perfect but for the life of me, I cannot find it. I've been digging diligently and maybe tomorrow I'll be successful. If not, a trip to the quilt shop willl not go awry.
Faith likes to bury her nose in the deep snow...can you tell?
And just look at these two...cuddled together on the bed. Notice that Tigger is using Faith's rear end as a pillow...that's my girl...
Looks great Gail. Love the colors! Your two puppiedogs are sooo cute...
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are to absoutely die for....
ReplyDeleteLoved all those Hand Dyed fabrics. The ones with the tree like patterns were gorgeous. My compliments to your daughter. I enjoyed spending the day with the Sussex Spice Girls and loved all their finished runners.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric. What a GREAT gift from your daughter. I wish my family would lean more toward quilt related gifts :-)
ReplyDeleteYour table runner is beautiful - I just saw two of these at this month's guild meeting, the class is being taught here too. And I love your blog header, by the way - the quilts are all by you I assume - they look really nice, great use of colour!!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
