Don't get a sore neck turning sideways to see this little wallhanging I did from a kit a couple of years ago. It was fun to do and just the right size for a small space that begged for that 'something' to keep it from looking so bare.
This is called "crack the whip" ....remember playing that game when you were younger and not so full of aches and pains. It is a paper pieced pattern that I said bad words about and almost threw away in disgust(remember I hated pp'ing at one time). My friend Raye rescued me and finished it for me. It won a ribbon at our local show and we share custody of it. She is an amazing paper piecer.
There was a time when I absolutely loved tole painting but unlike quilting, I got tired of it after too many painted pieces around the house. This is one of my favourite projects...just love the colours, the whole concept and the cute little girl mailing her cards. It's been around a while.
Here's proof that the 'girlies' are finally getting along well. Tigger would not allow Faith on the bed for the longest time , now they share the space...albeit back to back, they will sleep in the same space. Tigger still steals the bones to chew.
We had a little snow this a.m. ....yippee!!...and we had to have a little taste. NOt sure why dogs like to eat snow but they both enjoy it. IN this picture you can see Tigger's short tail. It is the busiest little tail you'll every see...she is such a happy little dog...Poor Faith has a long and bushy tail and it requires a lot of effort to get it wagging...but she manages.
Just love your little quilts....

ReplyDeleteI have a tendency to go through hobbies too - when my house gets full of something - time for a change. Quilting seems to be lasting though.♥
