Out of my comfort Zone

This is a Broken Star centre and this is where I am going to stop and quilt it. I'm thinking about using it for a table topper...boy, I am really getting into table toppers. The reason I labelled this post "out of my comfort zone" is because I have avoided working with diamonds...on the machine, that is, but this is one of those things that I always wanted to do but just never found the courage. It is so frustrating if points are cut off or squares to be inset don't fit. I followed instructions....duh!! and quess what, they work. Now I just have to put it in my quilting frame and get crackin'.  The fun part...I do love to hand quilt.

This is a "breakthrough" moment. Since Faith arrived, Tigger has jealously guarded this old comforter I placed on the floor in our den for her. They would each use the blanket but only if the other was somewhere else. Tonight, they shared. We are so happy, it means they are accepting each other more and more. They play well together, play with each other's toys and even share bones, but this was a no-no. Now if we could only get them to relax around their food...one can always hope.

  1. LOVE the Broken Star! It will make a lovely tabletopper! And those two puppies look so sweet- they will be the best of friends before long...

  2. Your broken star is stunning. I like that you are stopping there and using it for a table topper. It's so good that Faith is settling in.
