Hunter's Star Finished

This Hunter's Star belongs to my daughter, Kirstin. She pieced it and brought home at Christmas time for quilting. It's one she wants to keep, so I agreed to slide it onto the frame when I finished the "Oopsy" I was working on at the time. It wasn't difficult to quilt, I kept it simple.....1/2 inch shadow in the dark arrows and leaves in the white. Unfortunately, she had run out of the green for binding. I found this particular shade of green that matches the very tiny stripe in the dark fabric. Looks ok. I hope she likes it. She'll either come this summer for a visit or we'll see her at Christmas time this year and she'll take it back with her then.. She has the patience to wait for her quilt to be done , I don't , I want to see them finished right away. If she decides to wait until Christmas, I will sneak it into our guild's quit show this fall. The last quilt of hers that I put into a quilt show earned her a "Best Piecing" ribbon.

  1. That is a really nice quilt. I see by the previous post that your daughter loves the quilting on it. I think it is so nice that you and your daughter share a love of quilting. Kirstin, I like the dark/light combination.

  4. Don't you love it that you have a daughter that quilts. I'm jealous. Nice quilt. Do you have a date for your quilt show. I'm away from Oct 8 - 24. I hope it's before or after.
