Momma's got a brand new toy!

 I'm so excited...this is my brand new toy ..it is a Performance 5 by Pfaff.  It does so much more than my old Pfaff did and I can't wait to try out all the different thingies.....
as you can see I got the extension table to go with it...makes that practising of machine quilting I have to do easier...someday, I will machine quilt with ease...just not today...

Of course, fools rush in where angels fear to go and I guess that makes me a fool.  I couldn't wait for the instruction that comes with the machine...at a time of my choosing....I just dove right in and made a set of pillow cases.  Not sure if I will keep these or gift them somewhere. Regardless, the machine did a superb job...sews like a son of a gun.. I must remember to use the stylus and not my finger to change the settings.





after my sewing foray, I decided to make some jam with the leftover blueberries....the ones in the freezer....I made an old fashioned recipe that called for no pectin....sugar and a bit of lemon juice and zest.   I think I got a little heavy handed with the lemon juice as the jam is a teeny bit tart.....I suppose that is better than too sweet since I cut the sugar in half...just had to cook it longer until it hit 205 degrees C.  Got 7 and 1/4 jelly jars of jam...should do us for a while...
