It's all finished!

It's bound and ready for a label. Only one thing holding it up...I don't know what to call it. Something with 'chain' in it for sure but what. I have to say I'm not really happy about this one. When I started quilting it I made a stupid decision...that was to just quilt along the vines and the leaves...as a result it is too loose and really needs more quilting along the border. It's so annoying to make stupid decisions like that especially when I knew I would be sorry.  Ah well...perfection is for machines.

I've been waiting for this book a long, long time. I tried to buy a copy last year but they were sold out. I put my name on a waiting list but never got notified and then , one night of random surfing and there is was on Amazon.ca....was I ever excited. I ordered it right away and guess what...there was a postal strike. I figured it was one of those Karma things and I was never going to get a copy. It showed up in the mail this week and from an American Company with no duty or customs charges.......awesome.I got interested in Dutch Treat after seeing some excellent blogging pictures and working on my "Dear Dorothy Jane". That was a hoot to do and I really liked doing the applique squares. This one is totally applique and reverse  to boot.  Am I lucky or what!!!

And here's another picture of my Dear Dorothy Jane hanging behind the headboard in our bedroom.  I will probably move it somewhere else where you can see all the squares. That way I will be able to hang the "Dutch Treat" when it is finished.....stay tuned.

The quilt turned out beautiful; as always...I know it is a chain..but I would call it Rose Trellis....it is just beautiful...

Your quilt is stunning!! The name that came to mind immediately was Daisy Chain but that didn't seem quite appropriate. I'm sure you will come up with a name soon.

You're so right about perfection being for machines, I'll have to remember that one. I think your quilt is a stunner, I love it and the Dear Dorothy Jane is beautiful, what a treat to see both.
