This is my placemat...all scrappy as you can see. It came about because there is a new member in the Quilt Guild I belong to and she is so enthusiastic she has infected me!....I kid you not! It is such a treat to be around someone who absolutely loves what they are doing and this lady does. She did a whole quilt with this technique and called it "Done when you are done". It's a quilt as you go method
and a lot of fun. I just had to find something I wanted to do with the technique and here it is .....my placemat.
Of course, when I get it dirty ....and, I will ( I also love my food) I can always turn it over and still have a nice scrappy placemat.
DH has decided he should have one too, so the next thing I have to do is sit right down and make him one...will it never end?....Let's hope not.

Are the squares whip stitched together? I like the look of it.
