These are my mug rugs...The one on the left is my first attempt and the other two are the ones I made today. Tomorrow I am demonstrating this technique to a few of the ladies at my guild. Since I always whip things together and don't pay attention to the intricacies of how I did it, I had to make a couple more and write down how I put them together so I can teach the steps properly. Kind of fun to do. Haven't taught a class in a couple of years so it should be interesting how it works out.
This is Faith getting a hug from DH. She is a real cuddle bum. Just loves to hug right into you and will stay as long as she can. She has a heavy coat and gets quite warm but she will suffer it out as long as she can. Such a sweetie...
And, of course, sweet little Tigger. It's not often we catch her in a quiet moment but when we do, she shows her pretty side. She still has a light coat and prefers to sleep on the bed with us. She might continue to do that when she matures and then she may not. She will let me kiss her face for about 2 seconds and then she's off to play. Sure do love my Shelties.

Mug rugs are such a fun idea!Especially for Christmas gifts. I like the shape you've used. I think your girls are beautiful too.
Nice mug rugs - any chance of a tutorial in the near future? Shelties are the most lovable dogs, aren't they!! Yours are sure beautiful. Blessings, Peg
