Our guild had a "Cuddle Quilts" making day and we brought our supplies and got right down to it. I noticed this homemade gadget a couple of the ladies had and just had to take a couple of pictures and measurements. I have added it to the "Honeydo" list for my number one handy man who can do just about anything. He'll grumble and growl and say he can't make it without a template but one day I'll come home and he'll proudly have one sitting there waiting to be used. I am SOOO spoiled.

What a great project for the hubby! I think it's great...and now I want one, too :)
That seems a great way to save on thread! I always look at the big spools yearningly, but never thought of making a contraption so I can use them on my small machine!
