Had a great day!

It started at the crack of dawn...that's anytime before 9:00a.m. for me...I like to sleep in , especially on cold, blustery days....there were 12 of us all ready to make this charming quilt. Our teacher, Gail Mitchell from http://quilt-run-knit-sew.blogspot.com was our teacher and she is always fun to have demonstrating techniques and new patterns. This is the first of 10 flag patterns that I will be doing over the next couple of weeks.  We each got a colour, brought our 1/2 metres of fabric, cut out our 'kits' and swapped the kits to make sure our flags were all different but the same.   Gail is always encouraging, fun to be around and full of neat little tips and tricks. She always adds something to get you motivated to make different things....I will be making one of the little projects she brought along to get us going later on.

This is a bonus for me...for organizing the class on her behalf....absolutely love it. Right now it has my 'leftovers ' of fusible pellon and snippets of fabric that will be going into the surprise that I want to make later...just you wait and see.

Faith approves...but then she's so laid back she always approves. Right now she is waiting for me to go downstairs to join Tigger who is hiding on the off chance that I might want to brush her teeth.  I'll catch her later...

I loved working with you and members of your guild. I can't wait to see all the quilts and how different they will be, but yet the same.
