Hexies,Hooking and happiness

I rarely, if ever, wear a hat....I know, I know, I should in the winter at least, but I don't .  So I don't know what possessed me to knit these(there is a third one missing) slouchy berets plus I am crocheting another style hat as well.  Not sure what I am going to do with them as neither of my DD's wear hats nor are they into pink and blue...makes you wonder where my head is at...
Now these hexies....a work in progress....I will post what I am going to do with them once I get further along with this pattern.  I once made a complete quilt using this technique only to hate it on completion....I think DD # 1 has it.  This will NOT be a quilt...wait and see.
I think this pattern is called Snow buddies...not sure...anyway, I started to applique this pattern before the flu bug hit me and I haven't been ambitious enough to get back at it.  It will get done but not sure when.
I promised myself I would quilt at least a half hour to an hour a day and get this quilt finished....so I could start another, right???? I've just found my energy coming back after two and a half weeks of the flu...still dealing with a slight throat tickle but that is getting better. I am back on the elliptical and that is helping bring my energy level back up....finally.
I am proud to say I am now a hooker!! NOT the bad kind, the hook and wool kind.  I am taking a course with a wonderfully kind lady and she is a fount of information.  My loops are not consistent yet...may take a while but I am plugging away.  I'll post my progress as I go along...well, maybe. If it looks ok I will but if I screw up royally , maybe not.

Here's Faith and Tigger waiting at the top of the stairs for me.  They seem to think it is a game when I go up and down the stairs ..they race me all the time usually with Tigger barking her foolish head off.  Faith only barks when I go down the stairs...she's more mature whereas, Tigger wants to win ALL the time.

Hope you are feeling better Gail. It's a nasty bug. I have had a cold and cough for over 3 weeks now... ugh.
