Just quiltin' around.

My fingers are so very sore. I've been quilting a lot to try and toughen them up...even gave them a rest of three days before getting back at it and they are still sore.  They've split in a few places, bled a little and are so rough they catch on everything. I know...wah, wah, wah....just ignore me, I'm whining.
I also have bent a couple of needles...size seven to be precise...they are usually the tougher needles. When I am strong , I am very strong.  I decided to go to a smaller size to see if I can get the needle through the fabric easier....it's a tighter weave that I reckoned for.  Live and learn.
Someone posted this on facebook and I really like it so I thought I would share it with you..cute hunh?
Here's Faith wondering why I am not following her downstairs since that is her favourite place to spend the afternoon...she's heavy coated and likes to lay on the floor there.
And here's my wild fur child.  looks like she's grinning doesn't it?

Hi Gail, you sure are a talented lady.I hope your girls realize what treasures you are making. When my grandmother passed away, her STEP daughter took everything and sold all her quilts in a yard sale and never even told me.That is one women I will never forgive. That is my rant for today lol.Miss seeing you and old fart. I'm sure you have tried this for your fingers but just in case you have not... I use an emery board to gently buff the skin which takes off the rough edges if they are not too deep, then use New Skin (liquid bandage) or even clear nail polish on them. It might sting for a minute but really helps with the healing.
