Finally it's done!

It seemed like forever to finally get this top appliqued. ....sooo many leaves but at last it is done. I've given this a lot of thought while sewing all those darned leaves... these particular patterns were perhaps not meant for bed sized quilts.  Nonetheless, I managed to do that anyway , along with a space for some fancy quilting in an 89" X 89" square quilt.  Yeah it just squeaks under my favourite size 90" X 90". I'll probably never put this on my bed...not with two Shelties that are determined to sleep on the same bed .
Here it is in the frame...my good old Hinterberg that has been sitting idle for way too long. It took forever to mark this afternoon...all that crosshatching, in both the outside border and the centre squares.  The inside border will be twisted rope with a feather pattern intertwined.  Hopefully, it will look as nice as I imagined it. If not, looks like one of our daughters gets herself another quilt.  Story of my life...
