I never get bored!

How annoying that blogger will not accept this picture as I had rotated it in my album..bummer. Anyway...I think I've said before how much I like Quiltmaker magazine.  This pattern is from their Spring 1998 issue. I made this lap quilt twice already. The first one I put in a quilt show with an exorbitant price on it , thinking no one will pay that much for a lap quilt...boy, was I wrong.  Oh well, back to the drawing board and I made another.  That one , my little pal Skeeter(my first Sheltie) commandeered  for himself. He would lay on it on the sofa and heaven help anyone who sat on  it...they got the beady eyed ..."get off my blankie" stare.  When he passed away, we donated that one to the wonderful Vet that took such good care of him.  I'm sure she will use it for other helpless doggies (and kitties).
Here is the beginning of my third one.  The technique is a little time consuming to start but once you've got the pieces started it's a fun thing to hand quilt and piece together. This time I think I will make it just a tad bigger and keep this one for myself ...that is, unless Faith or Tigger decide they want it...then I guess I'll just have to make another one.  Life is hard.

Hi!
I found out if I save the picture in portrait layout in the file I save it in, it is portrait when I add it to my blog posting!
I'd like to try that pattern, I'll have to dig out my treasured (old) magazines
Good luck, Leslie
