Things do get done!

in spite of the start of the warm weather. This is the quilting design I drafted to go into the plain squares and a little bit into the chain squares. I will probably curse a blue streak as time goes on. There are 90 odd squares that will need to be quilted.  Ah well, 'tis worth doing well, if 'tis worth doing at all. I'll take my time with this one since there is no rush to display it or give it away or anything like that..just another quilt to poke into the closet and say"oh, yeah, I remember that one." years from now.
This is the colour we painted this past weekend. I have no idea what it is called but it is kind of like coffee with a dash of cream in it. We went around a couple of walls and have now decided that maybe we should go around a couple of more.  It's a warm colour and that's what I wanted.

And this, people is the accent wall(s) in the living room.  I found my courage and went with a bold colour. I love it.  Makes the white woodworking stand out..even makes my Roman shades look better. Now all I have to do is convince DH that I should have a nice bulky, WHITE shelf in the middle of that big wall.  The one where we can display all those expensive hand-carved duck decoys. How much you wanna bet, the weather will get really warm and he'll say , maybe this fall....
Ps...that quilt is for Tigger, she loves to pounce on the leather sofa and it leaves claw marks... the one on the chair is going to my favourite godmother...she likes lots of colour , too.

Hi again....the quilting pattern looks beautiful...and I agree that you should not do a rush job...you wouldn't like it then. The walls both look great...I love the livingroom wall...daring and goes very well with your furnishings....good job...

The coffee and cream is so warm. I really like your bold accent color. It's like cranberry and really, it's a great color to show off anything you would put on a shelf. The quilts look amazing in the picture, especially with the white background in the blocks. I love all the quilts you do... they are right up my alley. This latest chain one is no different. I want to make it too!

Love your color choices! You are a woman after my own heart. I too love browns & reds together and will probably add some red to our new home once I am all unpacked

Beautiful quilting. I have a grace in my basement. I cannot even figure out yet how to load a quilt onto it........life keeps getting in the way so I have not had time to really play with it.

When I do have time to play I hope my work is as nice as yours is!!
