Occupational Therapy..

The storm predicted was nowhere near what they said we would get. It was a LOT more....plus DH went to the 'camp' a couple of days ago so I was abandoned and snowbound.this is what I did to keep from getting bored. I got the pattern from a tutorial on another blog. If you are interested, leave a comment and I will reply with the url. It was challenging but very interesting. My colour choices did not work the way I'd hoped so I will definitely make aother using lighter fabrics.
This picture shows the squares I made for the guild I belong to....I forget the name of the square but I do know it will be a gorgeous quilt when finished.  42 squares with a small border then a larger border with vines and lots and lots of leaves...hand appliqued. Guess who volunteered to help with the leaves. I will admit that I enjoy hand applique...I know...a brick short of a load but there you go.

I thought you might like to see how snowbound I really was today. That is my front window and that snowdrift goes all the way across. I had to dig a path for the pups in the early a.m., again around lunch time and then again after their supper. They didn't mind the deep snow a bit. Jumped right into snow over their withers. Had a great time while I froze my tush waiting for them.

This picture shows the deck...that
wonderful deck that we haven't had the opportunity to use yet.  JUst you wait, deck, we'll get there yet.

Love those quilts!!!! Wish you were my mum for I know what I would be asking for Birthdays and Christmas. They are all so beautiful that I couldn't choose. I go on and look at them all the time. Keep up the good work and I will be thinking of you.

WOW...that's alot of snow. I came home from work to about 5 inches of snow which was enough for me. As I sit here typing it is starting to flurry........I don't think we are to get much this time...less than 2 inches which is managable. But what wonderful work you did while being housebound. I love the block and love the guild blocks as well. You and I are alot alike...scrappy and LOVE applique'. All this talk about quilting makes me want to go to my sewing room.
