I'm Not Quilting Right Now!!!

This is the reason. Her name is Rio and she is 8 months old and in need of a good home. We were fortunate to have been allowed to adopt her. She will be with us for a month or so and then a friend of hers will be coming to join her....Shelties like company and we love Shelties so we'll do the best we can for her. I forgot how high maintenance Sheltie puppies can be. She is really good but she does like to play.  I can't let her off leash yet so that means I have been spending a lot of time walking with her. She is a sweet little girl and absolutely wild about children. She is really smart ...has learned to sit and lay down already.  She's a little greedy about food but that comes from being in a kennel and large pack environment.  She'll learn.   It'll be a while until I can get back to the sewing, especially considering DH went fishing for 4 days so that Rio and I can bond....she is mine and the next one will be his little girl...oh what fun we will have.

I just stumbled across your blog, your work is lovely and the quilt in your header is just exquisite.

Congrats on your cute adoption!

Oh my goodness but she is adorable... and I love that she will have a "sister"... I love dogs too... the two we have are our "angels", and our lives would just not be the same without them... I think the "greedy" with food could just be a puppy thing too, because I remember both of mine doing the same thing and I always worried they would choke because they "gobbled" up everything so fast... but they do outgrow it! Have fun with her! Hugs.
