My Pal is Home

I spent a long and fretful night without my little buddy at my side. Poor little guy stopped eating about a week ago. Each time we would try to get some food into him, he would throw it up. He had a difficult time with the back end as well. Enough was enough, after 3 days of absolutely no food or water, off to the vet we went. The vet kept him in overnight hooked up to an IV. We got him back this afternoon with some high test (Medi-cal) dog food and an antibiotic. Throughout the whole ordeal, he stayed as frisky and as silly as he can get. You never would have known he was ill. They ask for so little, some food and a little attention and they are happy. They give back so much more.

I'm so glad he's better. It brings back memories of how we used to worry and fret over our little cocker. She was a sickly dog, but never lost her fun spirit and love of peanut butter cookies. That little stubby tail would wag no matter how sick she was. She's gone now for a few years, and to this day, when I see a caramel cocker, I tear up.

Glad your little buddy is back home. Our pets are so important to us, my little dog and my cats fill my days when the house is quiet. Hope he stays well.

Glad your baby is home. What a lovely looking dog he is!

I personally could never NOT have an animal companion -although it's a bit of a zoo round here with four of them plus the freeloading blue tongue lizard.

Really happy for you that it all worked out!
